i38 is a digital agency specializing in branding, development, and creative strategy. When they reached out, they already had a live site, but it was outdated and didn’t reflect how much they had grown. They needed a redesign that showed their evolution. My job was to give the site a visual upgrade, simplify the experience, and build something they’d be proud to show clients.

i38 had grown in skills, in team, in client base, but their website hadn’t. The old site was cluttered with text, lacked visual flair, and didn’t reflect their creative expertise. They needed a simpler structure, stronger messaging, and a layout that would work across all screen sizes. More than anything, they needed a site that helped them win better clients.

1. Skipped wireframes, led with a moodboard

The client preferred to move fast, so instead of low-fidelity wireframes, I created a structured moodboard. This helped lock in direction early and gave visual clarity without slowing down the process.

2. Benchmarked top agencies

I reviewed competitors across Africa and abroad to understand design patterns, content structure, and positioning. This helped us avoid generic layouts and raise the visual bar.

3. Built flexible layouts that could grow

When I first looked at i38’s website, it didn’t feel like them at all. They’re a bold, strategic creative agency, but the old site felt bland and didn’t show their strengths clearly. So I asked questions. Got feedback from the team. What do you want clients to feel when they land here? What do you want to be known for? From there, I redesigned the homepage to be cleaner, more confident, and easier to navigate. I made sure their services were clear, their case studies stood out, and the overall feel matched the energy they bring to their work. Now, the website actually feels like i38.

Now, when people land on the site, they get who i38 is, what they do, and why it matters. It's still in development, but already miles ahead of what they had before.
